two decades have passed since the first synthesis of cellulose nanostructures. during this time, countries have succeeded in identifying numerous applications of nanocellulose technology by investing in academic research and commercializing nanocellulose technology in some fields by investing in the private and public sectors and attracting entrepreneurs and experts. the results of research and achievements in this field have been published in the form of articles, scientific news, and annual reports by various national and international institutions around the world. the purpose of this article is to familiarize and review the content of nanocellulose technology news, the trend and rate of progress, and the direction of nanocellulose technology development in iran and the world. the results of this review help in providing a realistic perspective for researchers and policymakers, explaining and determining a roadmap for the expansion of nanocellulose technology, and identifying and filling research and industrial gaps.
