New generation of bacterial cellulose nanocomposites
With the best quality and the largest production in the world
the nanofiber tech bazaar was held on october 20, 2017 at tehran university of medical sciences, introducing the top 8 business plans with the support of the special task force for nanotechnology development for investors and interested supporters. these plans were in two areas: building water purification systems and building wound dressings capable of completely healing diabetic wounds. in this event, 42 ideas competed in the challenge section of designing and building water purification filters using nanofibers, of which three projects made it to the final stage. in the challenge section of designing and building wound dressings for healing diabetic wounds using nanofibers, 98 ideas were also presented, of which 5 projects were selected as selected projects to be introduced to investors. the nanotechnology development task force, together with the organizer of this tech bazaar (ichallenge), assured investors about the technological claims of the projects that the applicants have reached this position through a fair and impartial evaluation process, and the nanotechnology development task force’s support for technological collaborations will include financial and non-financial support for technologists to support the completion of research, testing, and pilot-scale manufacturing, the development of production lines, and facilitating and supporting cooperation between technologists and investors through various means, such as providing legal services with technology valuation, supporting investors as well as applicants for market research and market assessment or invention analysis and technology identification. the nanofiber tech bazaar welcomed investors from kaveh bond and gas and cotton companies, pardis science and technology park, sinacell, behran filter, pishgaman amin sarmeh pasargad (shenasa), saman sarmeh nano, iran crescent medical equipment company (saha), and other interested sponsors. a representative of sinacell, one of the investors present at the fan bazaar, said about this program: "this is my first time participating in the fan bazaar, and fortunately, i have witnessed some good projects. sinacell is very interested in investing in the production and manufacturing of diabetic wound dressings based on nanofibers containing amniotic membrane extract, which is also in line with the company's activities. in the first step, an initial capital of 400 million tomans is required."

the first project in the field of diabetic wound dressings was antibacterial electrospun composite nanofibers with drug release capability as a wound dressing for diabetic patients, which was presented by nafiseh mahmoudi, phd in materials engineering from sharif university of technology.
the next project was the design and construction of a hybrid nanostructured smart system (smart wound dressing) consisting of a composite biopolymer matrix and hollow nanofibers containing cell growth factors and inflammatory factors and its combination with stem cells for the purpose of repairing diabetic wounds, which was presented by samad nadari.
the third project was the production of a nanofiber wound dressing based on chitosan-polycaprolactone for the repair of various skin wounds, especially diabetic wounds, which was presented by adeleh gholipour, postdoctoral fellow from amirkabir university of technology.
the title of the fourth project was antibacterial dressing for diabetic foot ulcers using a nanocomposite of bacterial cellulose and silver nanoparticles, which was presented by representatives of the celluban group.
the last project in the field of wound dressings was the production and manufacture of a diabetic wound dressing based on alginate nanofibers in combination with amniotic membrane extract, which was presented by marzieh ebrahimi, phd in immunology from royan research institute.
the first project in the field of filter systems for producing clean water was titled design and manufacture of a hybrid superhydrophobic microporous filter consisting of nanofibers for producing clean water in the membrane distillation process, which was presented by majid mohammadi, msc in information technology management from amirkabir university of technology.
the second project in this field was the preparation of a nanofiltration membrane based on nanofibers, which was presented by mohsen moslehi, phd student in polymer chemistry from the university of tehran.
the last project in this field was titled filter consisting of a thin layer on a nanofiber base, which was presented by shirin kiani, phd in chemical engineering from ferdowsi university of mashhad.
